2.5 starsAh, fairy tales. Who doesn’t love it. Prince Charming or knight in armor charging to the rescue of damsel in distress. Or the other way around, like The Fog Prince or Beauty and The Beast. I love the idea of modern fairy tale meets time travel and the blurb had me eager to read this. Alas, the writing execution left a lot to be desired. I found the storyline dragging and the characters unimaginatively boring. At first I was sort of hoping for something more on the mystery of the
vicomte murder and the twist of how our modern heroine could have a happily ever after with the 18th century nobleman hero. These hopes were soon dashed.
