This book opened my eyes how little (nothing, really) I knew about US historical prohibition era. Which was why most of the time I struggled with unfamiliar terminology and lingo reading this. But the characters made the story for me; their emotions, the connection between them, and the passion about their work. And I end up enjoying the story anyway.(I admitted I cheated by opening the author's pinterest page Falen Rose series to actually get a the grip of some of the unfamiliar phrases ^,^)
