My first book by Ms. Hardy and it's been a while since my last Harlequin-ish reading but the blurb was catchy so I decided, what the heck, I'd give this a try!
A chef and GP, both fresh from broken relationship/marriage, united through bachelor auction; small town with close community where everybody knew everybody. I expected a nice sweet romance; what I found was rather corny and boring. Too many cliches, repetition to self such as "he didn't need others help", "it's his responsibility" "I'm not ready for a relationship" etc etc
I wasn't that impressed with the characters too, glamorous profession, or past profession, notwithstanding. Simply put, this story put me to sleep. Not even the "crisis" and the ensued events at the tail of this book could rouse me.
This book might work for others, but it certainly wasn't for me.
