I'm not one of those
"I don't like historicals" readers, in fact historical was,
IS, one of my favorites. That said, when a bunch of historical stories, with favorite authors no less(!!!), come together in an anthology, some might or might not do it for me. Which happened with this one too.
What worked for me in this anthology were
Introducing Mr. Winterbourne,
The Ruin of Gabriel Ashleigh,
Unfair In Love and War, and
Carousel.
Though I read [b:The Lion of Kent|8532632|The Lion of Kent|Aleksandr Voinov|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1280954777s/8532632.jpg|13399856] the follow-on adventure of William Raven in
Deliverance didn't seem to interest me. I'd rather keep in mind his affair with Sir Robert as his HEA. That's it. :D
And
Office Romance fail to rouse any feelings toward both characters for me. It just wasn't for me I guess.
As for the others, I couldn't stop gushing and squeeing over each one of them, it's hard for me to pick which I like the most.
So this end up as an overall
4.5 stars for me.
