3.5 Stars"As if our bodies were determined to prove how mismatched we were, David stretched his arms over his head at the same moment I stood to leave and inadvertently whacked me in the head. I stumbled backward, forehead smarting, as he jumped to his feet." Thus began the semi official
courtship of Robby and David, and awkward was thy couple name, but sweet and cute awkward! :D
I love the story from the get go – such simple ordinary setting. Two shy guys, one oblivious the other careful, hopeless at flirting and picking up signals; they stumbled and braved each steps forward into friendship then further. Robby and David were endearing characters despite each of their misgivings, past relationship that left their feelings scarred and hearts broken. Slow pace, realistic premises, nothing fancy or outlandish – just what I need after a couple of bad taste books lately.
And of course, the coffee served all through the book was a bonus. *winks*
